- What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

  • During the opening sequence, the cast names are displayed. They also include who the music is by, costume designer, production designer, editors, and directors. 
  • The name of the movie is also the first thing displayed as the movie begins. 


 - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?

  • The begging scene shows the woods during the early morning. The setting looks cold and wet and there is fog throughout the dead branches and trees.
  • Foster the girl actor does stunts in this opening sequence, running, jumping, etc. 
  • The actors seem to be cops or FBI agents with their uniforms and later office settings. 

 - What connotations do these images carry? 

- How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

  • The atmosphere is mellow and quiet looking. The audience can't tell where the setting is until the camera zooms further out. 

 - What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? 

  • The suspense of the low-key lighting appeals to the audience. It shows the uneasiness at the begging of the film to develop the theme. 
  • Just by watching the opening sequence, Foster looks like she has a strong female lead as she is running and walking through people confidently. 

- How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions, and editing techniques. 

  • technology such as various tracking, panning, and zooming, follow her and she climbs up a rope and sprints through the woods.

Planning Storyboard for my Music Video

Storyboard scenes 1-12 In my first scene actor #1 will be in the frame either wide shot or mid shot. Actor #1 will be holding a picture and a behind the back angle will be slowly be zooming into her closer.  In the second scene actor #1 will still be in the shot but only from the waist up. As the song is starting out the main part says "do you remember" this will be symbolized through the video as Actor #1 is remembering her night on September 21st. Frame number 3 will now have a up close shot of her hand. When the shot is up close you can now clearly see the two people standing in the picture. The picture is warm and colorful and looks as if it was at a dance. The photo is know extreme up close and is in the same position. As the video goes on you can see that the photo comes to life. Production Blog ~the importance of scenery

  In the process of my final task, props and settings will be very important. Many of my titles will fall onto props that I use. By this, I mean from the transitions of the different names. This will be done during my editing process. For example, when the camera cuts to a box, the titles may appear inside the box as the actor opens it. This creates fun transitions that use elements of the plot. During filming, I'll take multiple clips with different items. This allows me to have options for the backgrounds. The titles I include may also match the color of the prop. During certain scenes the setting may be the sky, so an example of matching titles is a dark blue or even white font color to represent clouds. Additionally, because the sequence is 2 minutes, the dialogue can't be very long. The dialogue will contribute to the setting and tone of the film. Creating a clear dialogue is the main objective.
