Final Task: Coming to an end

 

 I'm still surprised that I have only 1 more day! This means this is my last production blog for my final task. The next big step is to publish my film. I'm looking forward to finishing and being able to say it's done. Now is the time to work fast. Getting in my last editing and clips are important. It will take good time management and being quick on the computer. Looking back, the final task had many parts leading up to it. I had to do many research and title blogs but it was useful in the end. So far what I need to get down is the 2-minute mark. Some clips I have filmed are way too long so I have to shorten them. Since I wanted to have multiple scenes they have to join well together in some way. I found that some transitions don't go well if it's fast paced. For example, the swipe across the screen transition doesn't look smooth on some clips. Luckily, if I did want to use this, I can increase the speed of the transition. Additionally, since the final task is almost due I've been thinking of ideas for my CCR. I think it will be cool to use a theme/time era and special effects/filters to make the interview fun/ Overall, I can't wait to finish this final project. I'm sort of nervous because it's 50% of our grade I believe, but it will be a weight off my shoulders when I finish. Hopefully, everything will come out well in the end.

Planning Storyboard for my Music Video

Storyboard scenes 1-12 In my first scene actor #1 will be in the frame either wide shot or mid shot. Actor #1 will be holding a picture and a behind the back angle will be slowly be zooming into her closer.  In the second scene actor #1 will still be in the shot but only from the waist up. As the song is starting out the main part says "do you remember" this will be symbolized through the video as Actor #1 is remembering her night on September 21st. Frame number 3 will now have a up close shot of her hand. When the shot is up close you can now clearly see the two people standing in the picture. The picture is warm and colorful and looks as if it was at a dance. The photo is know extreme up close and is in the same position. As the video goes on you can see that the photo comes to life. Final task: closer to deadlines!

 Today I had a bunch of work for other classes so nothing much happened. Luckily tomorrow we have Friday off. Until then I have just been planning. Because my original plan was to have two of the same person in one clip I am thinking this might be too hard. This will need editing so I can have both frames looks like one. If that makes sense. So instead of having one person be both the “normal” and the “clone, I can have someone be a stalker or even have a mask on. This will still follow the same layout I have in my storyboard. Luckily doing either one or two people wouldn't change the plot. Overall I am still going to try the original plan first. I’m most likely only having my mom and I as the actors since we wouldn’t have to go out much and find other people. Technical wise I have been good. Planning Blog ( Sound, Shooting, Health and Safety)

Schedule:  3/1/2021- 3/14/2021 First through the second week of march begin filming. Filming could include the scenes without the actor if needed. And then in later weeks add the actor to the scenes we need. After all filming has been done I will begin editing. All my editing will be done by myself since I'm working alone. Editing can take place anytime after 3/14 unless time needs to be extended.  Location: For my location, I will be filming at and around my house. This would include the backyard, attic, or garage for the genre aspect. When filming at my house the actors and I would not have to worry about social distanicing in a busy area.  Participants: All of my participants are close friends or family.
